GOOD TO KNOW
Preparing Audio
Audio Preparation is Key! The most crucial aspect of vinyl production is proper audio preparation. It’s essential to use a dedicated vinyl master for your record – not the same master used for streaming platforms or CDs. Your audio must be specifically mastered for vinyl!
Technical Requirements
We will provide detailed specifications below to help avoid any surprises. While our cutting engineer can adjust these parameters during the mastering process, incorporating them earlier in the mixing stage will yield superior results.
- make wav or aiff file
- 16/24 bit (please do not send 32 bit files!)
- min 44.1 kHz
- cut below 10Hz and over 16 000 Hz
- do not use flanger and chorus on the deep range
- stereo image between +0.5 and +1.0
- deeps less 300 Hz in mono
- max 22 min/side
- limiter/maximizer +/- 0 db
- master +/- 0dB
- -12 RMS
- be especially careful not to have a peak in it!
- upload the audio in one file per page. The file name should start with the page, e.g. Axxxx.wav

Produce Color Vinyl
Would you like a colored vinyl record? Browse through our base colors for translucent, transparent, and solid colored vinyls!
Please note that these colors are digitally created samples. While we’ve tried to accurately represent the actual appearance of the records, physical vinyl products may vary. If exact color matching is important to you, please contact us, and we’ll try to provide physical samples.
It’s important to know that colored vinyl records tend to have slightly more surface noise than black records, particularly during quiet passages, lead-in, and lead-out areas.
While we typically keep colored materials in stock, occasional shortages of certain types may occur. If this affects delivery times, we’ll inform you during the consultation process.
